Game Developer Choice AwardsではUncharted 2が2009年のGame of the Yearを受賞しましたが、毎年恒例のインディペンデントゲームフェスティバル（IGF)も今日受賞作品が発表に。賞金2万ドルが贈られる最優秀賞及びベストデザイン賞に、4人協力プレイ対応の強盗ゲームMonacoが選ばれています。
また、先日記事でもご紹介したモノクロのパズルゲームLimboが、ビジュアルアートや技術部門など2部門を獲得。他にも、物理エンジンを使ったパズルプラットフォーマーClosure、DotAクローンのHeroes of Newerth、iPhoneで蜘蛛を操るSpider: The Secret Of Bryce Manorなど、見ているだけでも楽しい個性的な作品が揃っています。
